Build a fishbone: effect, cause branches and sub-causes, 6M template and export
Frequently asked questions
What is an Ishikawa diagram?▼
It is a cause-and-effect visualization: the problem sits at the fish head and branches organize major causes and sub-causes along the spine. Useful for group analysis.
Why are there six branches by default?▼
That follows the usual 6M layout (methods, machinery, manpower, measurement, materials, Mother Nature/environment). Labels are editable, you may remove branches (down to a minimum of two), or add more branches at the bottom.
Can I save or print?▼
Export PNG for documents and slides or SVG for vector tools. Prefer short phrases for readability.
